SSS Faculty Members Honored for Research Excellence
NTU School of Social Science is celebrating the research achievements of two distinguished faculty members. Associate Professor Bao Te and Associate Professor Hoo Tiang Boon have both received prestigious awards recognizing their contributions to their respective fields.
Associate Professor Bao Te, has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the annual conference of the Society for Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents. This international academic society is the leading body for research in agent-based modeling. The award recognizes the significant contribution of Associate Professor Bao Te's joint paper, co-authored with John Duffy of the University of California, Irvine, and Nobuyuki Hanaki of Osaka University.
Further demonstrating NTU's commitment to research excellence, Associate Professor Hoo Tiang Boon, has received the university's Global Research Excellence Award for Travel (GREAT). This award will enable Associate Professor Hoo to share their expertise on a global stage. As part of the award, Associate Professor Hoo will deliver a speech at the esteemed Oxford Union later this year. The GREAT award supports NTU faculty in presenting at reputable international conferences and world-class universities, further enhancing the university's global research impact.
