FAQs on Entry Requirements: 

  1. What are the university degrees recognised by NTU for entry to the CE Master's Programme?
    Generally, degrees from major universities are recognised except for those via distance learning programmes. NTU will decide on a case-by-case basis for degrees from other universities.

  2. How exactly should I go about applying for the CE Master’s Programme?
    You will be admitted into the Programme as long as you meet the entry requirements (recognised basic degree, and Cumulative Grade Point requirement for the combination of CE Master’s courses done during Phase I). You are required to apply to NTU with your Phase I CE Master’s results.

    For the M.B.A programme, you must meet all existing requirement of the M.B.A programme and subject to the usual assessment process. Only short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview by the Selection Committee.

  3. How exactly should I go about applying for the SUSS’s Bachelor's Programmes?
    You will be admitted into the Programme as long as you meet the entry requirements (GCE A level with two passes (prior to 2006) or two H2 passes (from 2006) or local polytechnic diploma). You must be at least 21 years old and above and have two years of working experience or is currently employed on a full time basis (NS is included). You are required to apply to SUSS with your Phase I CE Master’s results

  4. Can foreign students use the credits gained from Phase 1 to pursue a Master's in their own countries?
    NTU will provide the transcript for the Phase 1 CE Master’s courses, but it will be up to the foreign university to decide on any credit transfer. 

  5. Can foreign students do Phase II of the CE Master's programme through correspondence?
    No. The Phase 2 Master’s Programme has to be done at NTU.


FAQs on Sponsorship and Full-Pay Study Leave:

  1. How do I apply for sponsorship and the full-pay study leave for SAF-NTU CE Master's Programme?
    SAF officers who are eligible for this CE Master's Programme can apply for sponsorship and the full-pay study leave through their Service PMCs.

  2. How and when will I know if I am sponsored?
    Applicants will be informed by their Service PMCs of the award of sponsorship.

  3. If I attended CSC at a foreign institution, can I apply for the CE Master's Programme and its sponsorship?
    The SAF-NTU CE Master's sponsorship is for CSC officers who have gained admission to the CE Master's Programme. Officers who attended CSC at a foreign institution can apply to do a full-time or part-time Master's degree programme at NTU or any other university, but credit transfer will be at the discretion of the university. For sponsorship matters, please refer to your Service PMCs.


FAQs on Application and Registration:

  1. When are the application and registration windows for the CE Master’s Programme?
    For all programmes (offered by NBS, RSIS, CoE, CoHASS and NIE), the online application opens from January to March every year, unless otherwise stated.

  2. When are the registration windows and admission dates for the SUSS’s Bachelor Programmes?
    For applicant who apply before March 31st, he/she would be placed for the July intake. If applicant apply before September 30th, he/she would be considered for the January intake.

  3. What are the admission dates for the CE Master’s Programme?

    For the ongoing CSC cohort:
    Full-time Master’s Programme
    Qualifying CSC graduates can continue with their Master’s study full-time immediately after completion of CSC in November. Admission to the full-time NBS’s and RSIS’s programmes would be in Trimester 2 in November while CoE’s, WKWSCI’s, NCPA's and NIE’s admission would be in January of the following year.

    For graduated CSC cohorts:
    Full-time and/or Part-time Master’s Programmes
    Qualifying CSC graduates are expected to commence their studies from Trimester 1/Semester 1 of the academic year which starts in July/August (NBS/RSIS/CoE/SCSE/WKWSCI/NCPA programmes). In addition, some programmes offer January admission too.

  4. What are the penalties if I decide to postpone my studies after applying online for the AY2023 NTU Master’s programme?
    You can withdraw from the Master’s programme before the official matriculation. For the officers attending CSC in the current year, the conditional offer is usually given in Jun/Jul and matriculation is conducted in mid-end October. The application fee however cannot be refunded.

    Please update your PMC as well as the SAF Education Office on your withdrawal so that they can update the sponsorship documents. You will need to apply again, if you wish to commence the Master’s programme in future years.

  5. What are the entry requirements for the Nanyang Business School, M.B.A programme?

  6. What will happen if I have applied for the MBA programme but failed to obtain the GMAT score of 600?
    For GMAT score lower than 600, you cannot be admitted to the MBA programme. You might want to retake the GMAT exam. Alternatively, as an added assurance, it might be helpful if you apply to a second programme during the online application window period. However this decision to apply to a second programme depends on individual.

  7. What are the programmes that require minimum capacity to start?
    The Nanyang Business School’s MSc (Human Capital Management) requires about 20-25 students to start the programme.

  8. I intend to wait for a few years before I apply (a few years after CSC), hence can I commence the Master’s programme in November in the year of my application?
    The November admission is only for the cohort attending CSC in the current year. For all other officers who have graduated from CSC/CSC(E), admission is in July/August for all programmes under the CE Master’s scheme, except for programmes which has a January intake.

  9. I am currently attending CSC and have applied for the SAF sponsorship. Do I need to personally contact my PMCs in order to get a copy of the sponsorship letter, as the letter is one of the supporting documents for the Master’s application?
    No. For the current year’s cohort, SNA will assist in getting the sponsorship letters directly from your PMCs. However, if you have graduated from CSC and have applied to the NTU Master’s programme, you will need to contact your PMC to obtain the sponsorship letter and submit together with the rest of the supporting documents.
