LKCMedicine@NTU Open House 2024

Welcome to the LKCMedicine@NTU Open House 2024, where you'll discover more about our innovative five-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme offered at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine). Established in 2010, LKCMedicine graduated its first class in 2018, and since then, six more cohorts have joined them. These young professionals are now making us proud at the forefront of Singapore’s hospitals, polyclinics, and community care institutions, delivering care with compassion, while demonstrating their commitment to redefine medicine and transform healthcare.

Each day, our understanding of various diseases and human health grows, and we continually strive to find more effective treatments and preventive measures. While equipping our students to be future-ready clinicians, our faculty provide expert guidance to local and international authorities, contributing to the formulation of policies aimed at safeguarding public health. Our overall aim is to advance the practice and science of medicine for the good of humanity.

If you aspire to pursue a career in medicine, LKCMedicine offers a world-class programme to prepare you for the highest standards of professional practice. Our curriculum is distinguished by its student-centred pedagogies, early patient interaction, as well as focus on humanities and new technology for healthcare. You'll be taught by our distinguished faculty, collaborate within team settings in state-of-the-art facilities, and gain practical experience across diverse healthcare settings. Dean's Message

“This promises to be an exciting year for LKCMedicine students. With a renewed emphasis on professionalism, patient safety and ethics, our MBBS curriculum will be value-added by the teaching of data science and artificial intelligence, among many others. These enhancements reflect the on-going transformation of Singapore’s healthcare system and the emphasis on continuity of care. I am enthused by these changes as LKCMedicine is well-equipped to support our future doctors to adapt to this rapidly changing world. I look forward to journeying with you on your path to becoming a doctor.”
