NTU MAE Ranked Global Top 5 for Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering

The NTU School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has once again been placed among the Top 5 universities globally for Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

This recognition comes as the School marks its 45th anniversary, and reflects the sustained commitment of the NTU MAE community to advancing education, research and innovation over more than four decades.

A milestone in context

Nanyang Technological University is the only university under 50 years old to hold a place in this global Top 5. This distinction speaks to the pace at which NTU MAE has grown its research capabilities, academic programmes and international standing since its founding.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluates universities across research output, academic reputation, employer reputation and research citations. Maintaining a Top 5 position in a field that spans mechanical systems, aerospace engineering and advanced manufacturing reflects the breadth and depth of the School's work.
