Students from Singapore Polytechnic recently participated in a full-day experiential programme organised by the Nanyang Technological University, College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, designed to ease their transition from polytechnic to university life. The session focused on strengthening critical thinking, communication, and leadership identity, while also introducing approaches to engaging thoughtfully within AI-enabled environments.
Grateful to have Assoc Prof Walid Jumblatt Bin Abdullah, School of Social Sciences; Mr Tejash Kumar Singh, Lecturer, School of Humanities; and Mr Warren Fernandez, Senior Fellow and Head of the National Security Studies Programme at RSIS and Editor of RSIS Publications and Director of Industry Engagement (CoHASS), who contributed to the programme through their insights and engagement.
Through interactive sessions, discussions, and guided reflections, students explored how to analyse complex ideas, communicate confidently in high-stakes settings, and develop a purposeful leadership mindset suited to an evolving world.
