Information Visualisation Techniques is a course developed for individuals who want to upgrade their technical knowledge and skills to make sense of data visually.

  • Important concepts associated with information visualization, with emphasis on human visual perception and media components such as words, numbers, colors, shapes, textures and images.
  • Critical visualization design principles in various situations from the perspective of cognitive psychology and human visual perception.
  • Essential coding skills and application awareness in interactive media and visual information processing.
  • Best practices for implementing, deploying and evaluating information visualizations in various contexts.
  • Effective methods for defining each step of the information visualization pipeline including data selection, representation, presentation, and interaction.
