Admission is in August or January each year.

 Applicants are required to submit online application via the NTU application portal. Please click here for application and admission details. Any other forms of submission will not be accepted. Applicants are advised to submit applications at least 4 months before their desired intake.

We strongly encourage all applicants to upload a short introductory video (< 3 mins) of themselves during application. Please provide the URL of your video in your application. Video link should be accessible for at least 9 months and not set to private. Priority assessment will be given to applicants who have prepared the video presentation.

The video should include:

1. Your qualities, passion and motivation for pursuing a PhD in NTU
2. Your career ambitions
3. Demonstration of your research skills in key experimental/simulation/theoretical methods (Optional)

Please note that the selection process is competitive and meeting all prior requirements does not guarantee your selection.

Applicants are evaluated holistically based on academic results, research/work experiences, research proposal and other relevant experiences.
