Talk on "New Era in Distributed Computing with Blockchains and Databases" by Dr C Mohan, IBM Almaden

Distinguished scientist Dr. C. Mohan gave a two-hours talk on the future of distributed computing in the context of blockchains and databases on 18 January 2018. He has been an IBM researcher for 36 years in the database area, impacting numerous IBM and non-IBM products, the research and academic communities, and standards. He is an IBM (1997) and ACM/IEEE (2002) Fellow. In addition, he has received the ACM SIGMOD Innovations Award (1996), the VLDB 10 Year Best Paper Award (1999) and numerous IBM awards. Dr Mohan was elected to the US and Indian National Academies of Engineering (2009).
