Guiding Futures: Empowering CCDS Students Through Career Coaching

At CCDS, growth doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Beyond academic guidance and peer support, students also gain access to dedicated career coaching designed to help them build clarity, confidence, and readiness for life after graduation.
Through a close partnership with the Career Advancement Office (CAO), CCDS students receive personalised guidance that bridges the gap between learning and the world of work. Whether it’s exploring career options, refining résumés, or preparing for interviews, every session is designed to help students chart purposeful, informed career journeys.
Each year, hundreds of students engage with CCDS Career Coaches through one-on-one coaching sessions, resume clinics, and mock interviews. These sessions focus on both strategy and self-awareness – helping students articulate their strengths, plan for internships, and position themselves for meaningful roles in industry.
Coaching with Impact

For Tiew Yen Huei, a Computer Engineering graduate from the Class of 2025, meeting Coach Gideon Koh was transformative. “He gave me solid pointers on how to structure my résumé and tailor it for each job application,” Yen Huei shared. “His advice on using the STAR format for interviews made all the difference. I was able to speak with confidence and clarity; and that helped me secure multiple offers.”
When it came time to decide between opportunities, Gideon offered perspective. “He helped me evaluate what each role might mean for my career – the kind of insights I wouldn’t have had on my own as a fresh graduate,” Yen Huei reflected. “He may have thought he was just doing his job – but for me, he changed my world.”
Coaching That Goes Beyond

Tomoki Teng Zhi Hui, a Data Science & Artificial Intelligence graduate, found the same sense of support through Coach Caleb Chew. “Coach Caleb went above and beyond,” he said. “He refined my résumé multiple times as I gained new skills, helped me strengthen my personal pitch, and guided me to craft a more compelling narrative.”
Tomoki also credits the workshops and talks that Caleb organised for CCDS students. “He didn’t just give advice; he created opportunities for us to practise career-readiness skills in real time,” he said. “His dedication helped me step into interviews with confidence and clarity.”
Your Career Starts Now
As CCDS continues to strengthen professional development support, the partnership with the Career Advancement Office ensures that students receive practical guidance tailored to their goals. Coaching sessions provide more than résumé advice; they help students reflect, reframe, and refine their personal growth journey.
CCDS students can book a 45-minute one-on-one session with their Career Coach through the CareerAxis Portal, or arrange an in-person appointment at the CCDS Office (N4-02-118) every Thursday between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Please note: physical meet-ups on Thursdays are by appointment only; students must book a session before coming in.
Through consistent engagement and structured reflection, CCDS Career Coaching continues to shape students into confident, industry-ready professionals; ready not just for their first job, but for a meaningful career ahead.
