Kam Shing Kwang is Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong and Chair for North Asia at J.P. Morgan. She is also a member of the firm’s Asia Pacific Management Committee and the APAC Banking Management Team, and brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, including private banking, asset management, and investment banking.

Since joining J.P. Morgan in 1998, Ms. Kwang has been instrumental in fostering collaboration across various business lines to effectively address clients' corporate balance sheet and personal wealth management needs. Her leadership roles have included serving as Vice Chair of Investment  Banking for Greater China from 2019 to 2024, and as Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank in Asia from 2017 to 2023. She also completed her first term as Chief Executive Officer for J.P. Morgan Hong Kong between 2016 and 2018, overseeing local governance, coordination,

and controls.

Ms. Kwang is a respected advisor in the industry, having served on Hong Kong’s Banking Advisory Committee from 2016 to 2022, which provides counsel to Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary on banking sector issues. Her accolades include being named one of the leading female private bankers in Asia by Global Investor Magazine, one of the top twelve most influential female bankers in Asia by Finews.asia, and the most influential female leader in Asia by The Digital Banker.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) degree from the National University of Singapore/Nanyang Technological University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Ms. Kwang contributes to the industry through her roles on various advisory boards, including Singapore Management University’s Wealth Management Program, the Hong Kong Academy of Wealth Legacy and Les Lumières de Paris’s Hong Kong Chapter. Additionally, she serves as an Advisor on the Nature Conservancy Asia Pacific Leadership Council and HKUST’s Business School Advisory Council. She is also a steerco member of the Women Chief Executive network in Hong Kong.
