NTU Singapore welcomed 2,000 alumni and their guests to Homecoming on 19 October – the largest Alumni Homecoming since the pandemic. Participants took part in carnival activities, challenged themselves to sports games, and learnt new knowledge at the workshops.

A snapshot of the happenings:

  • NTU alumnus Kai Emmanuel Kuah thrilled the audience with his magic tricks. The Aeroviation flight simulator owned by NTU alumnus Faris Iskandar drew a crowd eager to take to the skies virtually. Other than performances by NTU student clubs, DJ Desmond Sim, our alumnus, played catchy tunes that jazzed up the carnival.
  • Creative alumni with an eye for photography joined the Augmented Reality filter contest and walked away with exclusive Lyon keychain collectibles.
  • Another crowd favourite was the scenic open-top bus tour to see NTU’s iconic buildings.
  • Sporty alumni played in the inter-school badminton friendly matches. They also participated in a stretching exercise segment led by NIE alumnus Lucas Lim.

More than 1,300 alumni and their guests attended Homecoming 2023 at Gaia, the newest sustainability icon on campus. Attendees enjoyed carnival activities and stage performances.

During the fireside chat with NTU President, Prof Ho Teck Hua announced that alumni will now receive 10% discount for most course-based master’s programmes at the University. In addition, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents will get a S$5,000 subsidy, and financially challenged postgraduate students stand to receive an additional subsidy of up to S$5,000.
