Presenter Munah Bagharib continues on her happiness journey by exploring how the mind, relationships, community and resilience affect happiness.
Assoc Professor Edson C Tandoc Jr, Associate Chair at the NTU WKWSCI said: “We found that it’s like a cycle – the more time you spend on Facebook, the more likely you are to experience symptoms of depression, which then increases your use of social media. People who spent a lot of hours on Facebook are likely to feel that others seem to have better lives than them. We compare ourselves to others – that’s just human nature. The thing is Facebook makes it easier for us to compare.”
