US Supreme Court's ruling that the tariffs are unconstitutional puts China in a "more advantageous position"

On the US Supreme Court striking down Trump’s tariffs, NTU PPGA’s Assoc Prof Dylan Loh said that China would perceive the Supreme Court ruling as weakening the Trump administration's position, but he does not believe it would change the way China and US respond in their trade negotiations. He said that Trump's visit to China would still result in some positive trade truce framework or agreement. He stated that the US Supreme Court ruling may give China some tactical advantages, but the ultimate impact is still difficult to predict. He also believes that trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing will not have a direct impact on US arms sales to Taiwan.
