Trump hints at sanctioning Chinese banks; US escalates efforts to isolate Iran

US President Trump hinted that he may be prepared to impose sanctions on Chinese banks due to their ties to Iran. RSIS Assoc Prof Dylan Loh told AFP that Beijing is Iran’s major oil buyer and a significant portion of bilateral trade uses Renminbi that circumvents US sanctions.
