Voters will focus on opposition and candidate quality if Tampines faces a four-way fight

A four-way contest in Tampines GRC could split opposition votes, which usually benefits the ruling party, but residents emphasise the importance of candidate quality. NTU SSS’ Assoc Prof Walid JumblattAbdullah said the Workers’ Party would likely gain more votes than other opposition parties in Tampines but a victory would be surprising since WP has yet to establish a strong presence there.
