SSSports Day 2025: A Spirited Start to the Week

The School of Social Sciences (SSS) kicked off the week with a burst of energy at SSSports Day 2025, held on Monday, 6 October. Turning a typical Monday into an afternoon of action, the event brought together students, faculty, and research students for a spirited celebration of teamwork and fun.

Light rain in the early hours did little to dampen the excitement. Students joined in before, after, and even between classes — a reflection of their enthusiasm and strong sense of community. The field was alive with friendly matches in Captain’s Ball, football, and an exhilarating Dodgeball showdown that saw faculty members go head-to-head with students.

Faculty and research students were among the most enthusiastic participants, showing a different side of their SSS spirit. Recognition went to A/P Teo You Yenn, who received the Most Sporting Faculty Member award; Asst Prof Shannon Ang, named Iron Faculty Member for taking part in the most games; and A/P Christopher Holman, honoured as MVP Faculty Member for his standout performance.

The event concluded with prize giveaways, a lucky draw, and shared bento meals, rounding off a day that transformed the start of the week into a memorable display of energy, camaraderie, and school pride at SSS@NTU.
