SSS@NTU Masterclass & Engagement Session: Connecting Future Students with Real Experiences

The NTU School of Social Sciences welcomed prospective students and their families to its Masterclass & Engagement Session on Saturday, 16 May, for an afternoon of authentic conversations, meaningful engagement and firsthand insights into the SSS@NTU experience.

Designed to offer attendees a deeper understanding of what makes SSS distinct, the event featured engaging masterclasses, student-led sharing sessions and interactive dialogue opportunities with faculty, current students and alumni.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was an open and candid dialogue session featuring Assoc Prof Walid Jumblatt and members of the SSS community, where current students and alumni shared their personal journeys, motivations for choosing SSS@NTU, and reflections on the opportunities and experiences that have shaped their university life. From academic pathways and overseas opportunities to student leadership, internships and interdisciplinary learning, attendees gained valuable perspectives directly from those living the experience.

Beyond the dialogue sessions, prospective students also had the opportunity to explore the vibrant student life at SSS through interactions with student clubs, communities and engagement booths, offering a firsthand glimpse into the diverse and dynamic experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

The School extends its appreciation to all faculty, students, alumni and staff who contributed to making the session a meaningful and memorable experience for our future cohort.
