Singapore develops mobile app to help diabetic patients monitor feet health

NTU and Tan Tock Seng Hospital have collaborated to develop a mobile phone application focussing on diabetic foot care. It provides patients and caregivers with a platform in multiple languages to record their condition and equip themselves with relevant caregiving knowledge, thereby improving the patients’ day-to-day lives. Diabetic foot ulcers are one of the most serious complications of diabetes, affecting about 19 per cent to 34 per cent of diabetes patients.
