Defense officials from Asia, other regions to open security conference on Friday

Defense officials from Asia, the United States, Europe and other regions are set to open a security conference in Singapore following a US-China summit earlier this month. Koga added that he expects the conference to provide an opportunity for officials to begin establishing foreign policies that do not necessarily depend on major powers.
