Interview with Singapore scholar Liu Hong: Looking forward to discuss AI and other topics at the Shenzhen APEC Summit

In an interview on the sidelines of the APEC Economies China Studies Scholars Forum, Liu Hong, Associate Vice President, International (Liaison & Coordination) of NTU in Singapore, spoke about the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s unique advantages in the innovation process – such as its global perspective and international competitiveness – and its close ties with other APEC economies. He also shared his anticipation for the upcoming APEC summit in Shenzhen, which is expected to focus on topics such as the digital economy and AI – issues of global concern. He highlighted two trends to pay attention to: the impact of rapid AI development on employment, and the imbalance in regional development.
