BH–ZB screening and dialogue session offers meaningful discussions on Gaza conflict

Speaking at the 'Gaza: Through Our Lens' screening and dialogue session held at Berita Harian (BH) newsroom on 16 Oct, MP for CCK GRC Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim said such dialogues should provide not just a safe space, but a courageous space, one where participants can express their views and ask questions respectfully. For Ahmad Amsyar Mohd Adom, 24, the value of the session is not in gaining new knowledge about Gaza, but in creating a space for meaningful discussion. The fourth-year NTU student was among 38 attendees who joined the event organised by BH, in collaboration with Lianhe Zaobao. The dialogue session followed a 20-minute video screening, Gaza: Through Our Lens, which featured six Singaporeans from diverse backgrounds sharing their views on the situation in Gaza and the impact on Singapore's multiracial and religious community. Among the participants in the first sessions were NTU student Nurainun Mardhiyah, NTU School of Social Sciences lecturer Dr Felix Tan, and NTU associate professor in political science Dr Walid Jumblatt Abdullah.
