Australian Prime Minister visits New Zealand; energy security issues expected to be a key focus

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is visiting Singapore from 9 April, where he will meet Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and tour energy facilities on Jurong Island. NTU PPGA’s Assoc Prof Dylan Loh said Canberra faces energy supply challenges, and the visit likely aims to secure continued energy flows, while also signalling cooperation amid the Iran situation. Dr Felix Tan, a lecturer at NTU SSS added that the visit symbolises ongoing collaboration between Singapore and Australia in areas such as international law, diplomacy and trade.
