Australian PM calls on China to strengthen green steel cooperation

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called for stronger cooperation on green steel and urged China to address the issue of steel overcapacity during his visit to the country. On China-Australia relations, NTU Asst Prof Dylan Loh said the crucial issue is geopolitical tension, with China seeing AUKUS - a trilateral security partnership between Australia, the UK, and the US - as a threat and Australia concerned about China’s influence in the Pacific and South China Sea.
