Grandparent Childcare Study by Associate Professor Setoh Peipei Making News Waves Online
A study by Associate Professor Setoh Peipei from SSS@NTU's Psychology Programme has found a strong link between maternal grandparental childcare and increased maternal warmth. Data from 615 mother-child pairs showed that mothers receiving childcare support from their mothers exhibited more positive parenting behaviours. This highlights the critical role of maternal grandparents in enhancing mother-child bonds.
