Assoc Prof Olivia Choy Wins Prestigious ASC Early Career Award

The American Society of Criminology (ASC) is an international organisation committed to advancing scientific and professional knowledge about the causes, consequences, prevention, and treatment of crime and delinquency. Within the ASC, biopsychosocial criminology adopts a multidisciplinary approach that examines how biological, psychological, and social factors interact to shape criminal and antisocial behaviour.

The ASC’s Division of Biopsychosocial Criminology established the Early Career Award to recognise an exceptional scholar who, within six years of completing their PhD, has made significant contributions to research in this field.

We are pleased to share that Associate Professor Olivia Choy, from our Psychology Programme, is this year’s recipient of the Early Career Award. She was formally recognised at the ASC Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. last week.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Assoc Prof Olivia Choy on this distinguished achievement.
