Celebrating Academic Leadership: Assoc Prof Md Saidul Islam Delivers Keynote at Bangladesh’s July Revolution Anniversary Conference

We’re proud to share that our Sociologist, Associate Professor Md Saidul Islam, was invited as a keynote speaker at the recent Conference on the July Revolution in Bangladesh, held on Sunday, 27 July 2025.

The Conference marked the first anniversary of the historic July Revolution...a mass civil uprising that reshaped Bangladesh’s political landscape in 2024 — bringing together scholars, government representatives, and students from across the region and beyond, the event aimed to deepen dialogue around governance, justice, and democratic transformation.

In recognition of his participation, Assoc Prof Saidul Islam was honoured with an award presented by Nurul Izzah Anwar, daughter of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

This event is a testament to the power of academic engagement in shaping public dialogue and policy, and we are proud to see our faculty at the forefront of such meaningful conversations.
