Another outstanding student worked as a volunteer police officer to help the less fortunate

Another recent graduate is NTU psychology major Chianh Jia Xuan, whose outstanding performance in school was recognised with the Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award last Friday. Jia Xuan said her volunteering stints with the police force as well as the Institute of Mental Health cemented her decision to join the Singapore Police Force upon graduation. She recalled the pain of losing her father at the age of 13, as well as the support from family and friends that helped her to cope with the loss and also seeded the idea for her to study psychology in NTU. She will attend her convocation ceremony on 29 Sep.
