AI will drive S’pore’s economic growth, but may not fuel job creation as before: Tan See Leng
Harnessing artificial intelligence is important to the continued growth of the Singapore economy, but the technology cannot be expected to contribute to job creation as it did in the past, said Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) Tan See Leng. He was speaking at the Ministry of Trade and Industry Economic Dialogue on Aug 26 moderated by Euston Quah, Albert Winsemius chair professor of economics and director of the Economic Growth Centre at NTU.
