A/P Kei Koga Launches New Book on Japan’s Grand Strategy

Assoc Prof Kei Koga has recently published a new book, Japan’s Grand Strategy: Liminal Power in an Uncertain World, co-authored with Dr Saori Katada.

In a recent event hosted by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, Prof Koga presented key insights from the book, examining Japan’s evolving role within the regional order, its strategic thinking across different political eras, and its policy trajectory in the Indo-Pacific.

The session featured a presentation by Prof Koga, followed by a moderated discussion with Jeehye Kim, Senior Program Manager for Northeast Asia at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.

This work contributes to ongoing discussions on international relations and geopolitical developments in the Indo-Pacific.
