Strengthening Ties and Expanding Opportunities in Malaysia
Malaysia is home to some of the region’s most respected institutions of higher learning - the University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) .... all consistently ranked among the top universities in Asia and recognised globally for their academic excellence and research impact.
From 4–7 November 2025, Professor Kamaludeen Mohamed Nasir, Associate Chair (Graduate and Continuing Education) and Professor of Sociology, together with Mr. Martin He Jiajun, PhD Student (Sociology), represented NTU’s School of Social Sciences (SSS) in a postgraduate recruitment trip that aimed to deepen academic linkages and foster new collaborations.
They shared with faculty and students about the diverse postgraduate opportunities available at NTU SSS, and how these programmes nurture research excellence and interdisciplinary insight to address today’s most pressing social challenges.
The engagements across these esteemed Malaysian universities were insightful and enriching, paving the way for future partnerships and inspiring aspiring scholars to take their next academic step with NTU.
