Building Connections: Orientation and Welcome Lunch for New Graduate Students

The School of Social Sciences Graduate Education Office hosted an orientation today for our incoming PhD and Master’s research students starting in August 2025. Following the session, a welcome lunch was organised, bringing together new and current students along with faculty members.

This event provided a valuable opportunity for students and faculty to connect, exchange ideas, and foster a strong sense of community within the School. Our Associate Chair (Graduate & Continuing Education), faculty graduate coordinators, and students engaged in meaningful conversations about their research interests and programme experiences. The gathering was well received by all, creating a positive and supportive environment for the start of the new academic year.
