A-shares hit 4000 points; market worries about market bubble and hopes for slow bull market

Some experts noted that regulators could seize on the current window of ample liquidity to push through A-share reforms and build the foundations for a “slow bull” market. Prof Tan Kong Yam, NTU Emeritus Professor, observed that the A-share market has long been dominated by retail investors, marked by high volatility and weak links to the real economy. Past reform efforts have often stalled midway, but today’s internal and external pressures are compelling policymakers to place greater emphasis on strengthening the stock market.
