2026 China-ASEAN Scholars Dialogue
Representing NTU’s Public Policy and Global Affairs (PPGA) programme, Assoc Professor Dylan Loh participated in the 2026 China-ASEAN Scholars Dialogue held at Nanjing University, China, from 22–24 May 2026.
The dialogue convened distinguished International Relations scholars and regional experts from China and ASEAN nations to discuss regional stability, strategic autonomy, and people-to-people ties amid an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
During the dialogue, he spoke on the erosion and evolution of ASEAN centrality, while highlighting how pockets of resilience continue to emerge through functional areas such as energy cooperation and the digital economy. The forum also featured key experts and institutional leaders who shared insights on strengthening regional resilience and cooperation in the face of growing geopolitical tensions.
