Despite out of the running for the next PM, observers think that Education Minister Ong Ye King still plays a key role and has a bright future. As an assistant treasurer in PAP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC), Ong is still at the core of the party. Asst Prof Woo Jun Jie from NTU’s SSS said this shows that Mr Ong will play a key role among the 4G leaders, and the CEC is confident about his capability to move the team’s vision forward.
