NTU School of Social Sciences Asst Prof Woo Jun Jie said the development of future US-DPRK relations would be based on the foundation of the “Singapore Summit”. The “Singapore Summit” is undoubtedly in the annals of international history. He felt that the summit strengthened Singapore’s relations with US and North Korea. Asst Prof Woo said North Korea seems like it will be opening up and once it opens up, there will be numerous economic and trade opportunities. Hence, it was right that Singapore made a move to build strong bilateral relations with North Korea.
