The talk will give an insight of what is Down syndrome, the work of Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) and how one can support people with Down Syndrome and the cause of the Association.
The session is not meant to impart any medical or specialist information on the subject Down Syndrome instead it provides some of the basic and common backgrounds on Down Syndrome, the proper terminologies and the Association’s advocacy work.
About the Speaker
Mr Andrew Soh, is the Assistant Director (Community Partnerships & Corporate Communications) at Down Syndrome Association (Singapore). He has been with the organisation for the past three and a half years, and oversees the fundraising, donor and volunteer engagements, corporate communications and community partnerships of the Association. Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) is the second Social Service organisation he has worked with since his mid‐career switch in 2010. He was previously from the corporate sector, where he had worked in for 20 years. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business (Business Administration) with a major in Marketing, from RMIT. He has a wealth of experience in events management, marketing, customer services and editorial through his various employment with companies like SPH and SingTel. Andrew is passionate about championing for the advocacy for people with special needs and is eager to see greater inclusion within the local communities.
