Congratulations to Mr Paul Victor Patinadan, PhD student from Psychology, for bagging the Santander Researcher Mobility Award! He was presented the award on 10 July at the Doctoral College Conference at University of Surrey. The prestigious accolade is a by the University of Surrey (UK) and Santander Universities, and is given to promising specialist researchers to encourage international exchange and facilitate cross-border collaboration. Mr Patinadan’s oral presentation was titled ‘Understanding and Facilitating Dignified Death and Holistic End of Life Care.’

The thrust of the conference was ‘Bridging the Gap’, which, according to Mr Patinadan, achieved its objective exceedingly well. He shared that it was an honour and privilege to present his work at the Conference.

“I was heartened to have so many veteran researchers interested in the work I do, and I experienced a professional kinship that I am thankful to have discovered,” he said. “I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my mentor and supervisor, Professor Andy Ho, and to my wonderful colleagues at ARCH (Action Research for Community Health) Lab of SSS Psychology, who continue to inspire and guide me every single day.”
