Zach Lee, a research associate at TUMCreate and NTU, and Assoc Prof Jonathan Tan at NTU wrote in a commentary that land transport planning is a complex affair, and new tools, such as experimental economics, are needed to evaluate transport technology applications, and how behaviour and technology will interact in the system. Together with NTU professors Euston Quah and Yohanes Eko Riyanto, the writers are experimenting with autonomous transportation adoption as part of a wider NRF-funded interdisciplinary future transport programme, TUMCreate.
