Biography
Huang Hanwei is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics from the London School of Economics. He specialises in the field of international trade, economic development, and economic history. His research focuses on how firms cope with supply chain disruptions, competition from foreign markets, and structural change in an increasingly globalized world. He has published an article on the Economic Policy about Brexit. He also has a research project on remittances from Southeast Asia to China in the 20th century using a dataset of remittance letters. Before coming to the LSE, Hanwei had got a MSc Degree in Economics and a BSc Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Tsinghua University, both with honours.
