30 Nov 2023 07.00 PM - 08.00 PM Alumni, Current Students, Industry/Academic Partners, Prospective Students, Public

Grief and loss are part of our universal experience, connecting us in our common humanity. Yet, communal understanding of bereavement remains limited due to longstanding taboos and aversion surrounding mortality, resulting in the general lack of support for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. This public lecture will provide an essential overview of the empirical models of grief and shed light on the contemporary experience of bereavement. Its fundamental goal is to empower the audience to become more empathic and compassionate in supporting those undergoing life-changing losses.
