SSS Alumni Service Award 2022 Runner-Up

Associate Professor Chia Wai Mun is currently Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University. Her research areas include topics in International Macroeconomics and Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA). She is an associate editor to the Singapore Economic Review. She is also the Treasurer of the Economic Society of Singapore and Singapore Economic Review since 2017. She holds a PhD from Nanyang Technological University, a MSc from London School of Economics and a BSc from University of London, all in economics. 

Associate Professor Chia published more than 30 papers in some leading journals in economics. Besides academic publication, she was a consultant to ASEAN Secretariat and also served as CBA advisor to government agencies in Singapore including National Environment Agency (NEA), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Singapore Policy Force (SPF), Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Land Transport Authority (LTA).
