Some countries overseas have seen a trend of people staying in 3D printed houses. On the feasibility of 3D printed homes, Assistant Professor Qian Shunzhi from Nanyang Technological University's Singapore Centre for 3D Printing explained that the current mainstream 3D printing technology for houses is not compatible with Singapore. Singapore has land and space constraints. The current technology is not efficient for constructing high-rise apartments. Furthermore, there is a lack of a regulatory framework for such buildings in Singapore and it will take time before this can be in place.
