​Third International Conference on Progress in Additive Manufacturing (Pro-AM 2018)

The Third International Conference on Progress in Additive Manufacturing was held in Singapore from 14 to 17 May 2018. This conference attracted more than 150 participants from over 20 countries, with 11 keynote speakers and 12 exhibitors. Participants took parts in 3 days of discourse with 15 concurrent tracks that covered 9 topics of the latest commercial and scientific developments in additive manufacturing.

International experts and researchers were invited to submit their scientific papers in additive manufacturing. All accepted papers will be published in a book of proceedings and indexed in Science Citation Index and Scopus. There were three best paper awards (each worth $1,000) conferred at the end of the conference. The winners of the award were:

  1. Hybrid PCL/Hydrogel Scaffold Fabrication And In-process Plasma Treatment Using PABS by Fengyuan Liu from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom
  2. Ink-Jet Printing Of Transparent And Stretchable Electrodes For Dielectric Elastomer Actuator, Milan Shrestha, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
  3. Laser Sintering Of Tungsten Carbide Cutter Shafts With Intergrated Cooling Channels, Markus Merkel, Aalen University of Applied Sciences, Germany
