NTU General Education requirements

The General Education Requirement (GER) embodies the NTU educational philosophy that undergraduates should be trained, not just in narrow technical or professional fields, but also in critical thinking, reasoning, communication and quantitative skills applicable to a broad range of occupations. It covers courses in key fields of knowledge in the humanities, sciences and business to build the core competencies of a well-rounded graduate, while providing a wide selection of free electives and enrichment options to cater for individual interests.

GER Core Requirements

Unless otherwise stated, undergraduates from BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences programmes are required to read the following General Education Requirement (GER) Core Courses.

As an exception, the BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and Biobusiness (Double Major) programme ; BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and Psychology (Double Major) and the BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and B. in Chinese Medicines (Double Degree) programme have different GER Core requirements.
