Please share with us your professional life’s journey and at which point in your career did you aspire to pursue this programme?

Throughout my professional journey, I have ventured into various industries. Started in marketing, I honed my skills in brand building and consumer engagement. After a decade, I felt a strong calling to make a meaningful impact in the special needs industry. However, I recognised the growing importance of digital marketing and the need to stay updated. It was at this pivotal point in my career that I aspired to pursue the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) in Digital Marketing offered by PaCE@NTU. I sought to enhance my skills and knowledge in this dynamic field that allow me to adapt to the ever-changing industry landscape and excel in my professional pursuits.


What attracted you to your chosen programme at PaCE@NTU?

This programme at PaCE@NTU captivated me with its outstanding quality and reputation as a trusted education provider. Joining a community of dedicated learners and being guided by experienced instructors were immensely appealing. The assurance of a comprehensive and valuable learning experience from a prestigious institution like NTU instilled confidence in my decision. It perfectly aligned with my desires for personal and professional growth, making it an opportunity I eagerly embraced.


What were the challenges you faced when trying to complete this programme?

Completing this programme posed various challenges. Firstly, keeping up with the fast-paced nature of digital marketing and staying informed about the latest trends required continuous learning and research. Secondly, managing my time effectively between work, personal commitments, and studying was a balancing act. Additionally, understanding complex technical concepts and applying them practically took effort. However, with determination and support from instructors and peers, I overcame these challenges and successfully completed the programme, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in digital marketing.


How would you apply what you've learnt from this programme?

As an Employment Support Specialist in my company, I can use the tools and skills learned from this programme to improve our internal processes. By applying digital marketing principles, I can enhance my company’s internal communication, promote inclusivity, and optimise our employment support programmes for individuals with disabilities.


Do you think lifelong learning is important? Please share your thoughts about it.

Lifelong learning allows us to adapt, remain relevant, and grow personally and professionally. It nurtures curiosity, broadens our horizons, and brings us fulfilment. Lifelong learning keeps our mind sharp, encourages critical thinking, and helps us navigate life's complexities. By embracing lifelong learning, we unlock our potential, stay ahead, and build a more enriching life.
