(SCTP) Advanced Professional Certificate in AI-Enabled Business Automation & Workflow Design for Business Professionals
This programme enables business support professionals to transition into higher-value, AI-enabled roles by developing practical capability to design, automate, and deploy business workflows and applications using no-code and AI-assisted approaches.
Participants build applied AI fluency — understanding how AI systems function in enterprise contexts, where their limitations lie, and how to exercise sound human judgment within AI-driven processes. The programme emphasises deliberate human–AI collaboration, equipping learners to design workflows that combine AI efficiency with human oversight, contextual decision-making, governance, and risk controls through structured human-in-the-loop design.
The learning journey progresses from AI readiness and workflow redesign to no-code application building, automation, testing, and organisational deployment. Learning is hands-on and scenario-based, grounded in real business functions including operations, HR, finance, customer service, marketing, and programme management.
Participants move beyond experimentation to production-ready implementation, gaining the skills to responsibly integrate AI solutions into existing business systems. Upon completion, they will be equipped to manage AI-enabled processes, oversee human-AI interactions, and deliver measurable operational and business outcomes.

Outline
Equips participants to apply sound decision-making judgment to determine when AI should augment work, automate processes, or be constrained with human oversight. Governance, responsible AI practices, and trust considerations are emphasised to ensure safe and effective adoption in business environments.
Participants also examine how AI reshapes roles, workflows, and operating models, preparing them to supervise and orchestrate AI-enabled workflows. By the end of the course, participants are ready to take ownership of AI-enabled business processes, forming a strong foundation for hands-on building and deployment in subsequent part of the programme.
Participants learn how to craft effective prompts that augment their existing domain expertise, use data ethically and efficiently to reduce hallucinations and apply frameworks to address industry-specific issues. With the foundation in place, participants will be able to build effective chatbots to solve problems with minimal prompting.
Participants learn to translate everyday work requirements into functional AI applications, apply structured problem-solving and design thinking, and iteratively improve reliability and usability.
The course emphasises practical implementation over theory, enabling business users to independently create AI-enabled solutions that support real operational workflows across functions such as operations, HR, finance, marketing, and programme management. This course equips participants with systems thinking skills to analyse business work as end-to-end workflows rather than isolated tasks.
Participants learn to translate complex, ambiguous business problems into structured, AI-ready workflow designs by identifying inputs, decisions, exceptions, and outputs.
The course focuses on designing workflows that appropriately combine AI logic, human judgment, and governance controls, ensuring clarity, explainability, and reliability.
By the end of the course, participants are able to produce clear, build-ready workflow designs that can be confidently implemented as AI-enabled applications within real organisational contexts.Participants also gain the practical understanding needed to work effectively with AI-generated code without becoming programmers. This allows them to collaborate confidently with technical teams.
Finally, participants learn how to exercise sound judgment in AI deployment, focusing on cost, security, failure risk, and human oversight. Participants learn when to use AI, when to rely on rules or human judgment, and when automation should be avoided in enterprise settings. The capstone culminates in project presentations, supported by coaching and structured feedback, enabling participants to clearly communicate their problem framing, solution design, and practical impact. This segment focuses on demonstrating end-to-end, job-relevant capability, preparing participants to present portfolio-ready work that evidence employability and readiness for AI-enabled roles.
