A Day of Fun, Laughter, and Team Bonding: NCPA Sports Day 2025

On 23 August 2025, the Nanyang Auditorium at NTU, Singapore was filled with energy and excitement as students and staff from the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) gathered for the annual Sports Day, aimed at strengthening bonds and creating good memories.

In his welcome address, Professor Liu Hong, NCPA Director (Research and Executive Education),  highlighted the value of bonding through shared experiences and encouraged everyone to join in the fun-filled games and activities.

The day offered a variety of activities, from thrilling competitions to delicious food and carnival games. The team-building games like the Tele-match, Minute to Win It, Captain’s Ball, and the ever-popular Tug of War; promoted friendly competition and camaraderie among teams. The arcade gaming zone was another crowd favourite, as students tried their luck at the claw machines to win prizes.

Delicious refreshments and local snacks, such as satay, kueh pie tee, a chocolate fondue station, and traditional ice cream in various flavours, kept spirits high. The photo booths were also a hit, serving as a popular spot for students and staff to capture fun, candid moments with friends and teammates.

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the prize presentation and lucky draw presided by Professor Liu Hong, Associate Professor Wang Jue, Director, NCPA, and Dr Wang Hang, Deputy Director, NCPA. Winners of the team-building matches received loud cheers and applause, while the lucky draw provided a perfect conclusion to the festivities.

More than just a day of games and entertainment, the NCPA Sports Day 2025 brought the NCPA community closer together by blending teamwork, fun, and cherished memories. As the event ended, happy smiles and cheerful chatter filled the hall as participants enjoyed a hearty buffet dinner—a satisfying end to a day well spent!
