Research Integrity Workshop: Securing data, the building blocks for research

On 30 June, the Good Research Practice team, with support from the Office of Faculty Affairs, held an e-TBL workshop titled ‘Securing data, the building blocks for research’ via Zoom. The workshop was delivered by GRPO Senior Assistant Manager Ms Celine Lee, and Associate Professor of Metabolic Disease Yusuf Ali. Twenty-eight faculty members, research staff and PhD students joined the interactive workshop where they explored what is good research data management and the best practices to safeguard data integrity and ensure reproducibility of scientific findings. Participants also learned about how to manage personal data, sharing of data with external parties, and how to distinguish legitimate journals from predatory ones.
