NTU Innovation Port

The new NTU Innovation Port – a one-stop centre for all things innovation-related.

With locations at both the North and South Spines of the University’s main campus, the NTU Innovation Port serves as a common space for the NTU community and external partners to discuss start-up and innovation ideas, as well as assist industry partners looking to collaborate or license technologies.

The space located at The Arc will occupy half of the existing Student Hub and is expected to launch by end Q1 2024 while the other space located at Gaia is expected to be ready by Q3 2024.

NTU I&E welcomes NTU community (students, alumni, faculty and researchers) and industry partners to leverage these new resources to accelerate their I&E journey.

Looking towards the future, to further support enterprising pathways and accelerate the growth of NTU-affiliated spin-offs, NTU I&E is planning a new incubation facility designed to provide comprehensive support for early-stage spin-offs.

The new facility, spanning multiple floors, will offer dedicated co-working spaces for both incorporated and pre-incorporated spin-offs emerging from NTU. These spaces will be thoughtfully designed to foster serendipitous encounters, encourage collaboration, and cultivate a strong sense of community among incubates.

In addition to co-working spaces, the facility will also house state-of-the-art shared facilities, including meeting rooms, small lecture theatres, pantry spaces, and other communal areas. These amenities will cater to the diverse needs of incubates, providing them with the resources and infrastructure necessary to connect, collaborate and thrive.

NTU Makerspaces

A new Makerspace will be slated for launch by the end of the first quarter of 2024. Located at The Arc, The Makerspace will occupy the existing Reading Room to be a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Atelier supporting conceptualisation, development and validation of NTU's inventions from prototype to market.

By linking aspiring entrepreneurs to NTU's diverse range of facilities and expertise, this space will empower cross-field research, development, testing and validation for those seeking to bring their ideas to life.
