The QS World University Rankings (WUR) is an annual publication by Quacquarelli Symonds that ranks universities globally based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, faculty-student ratio, and internationalization. Inaugurated in 2004, it is one of the most widely read university rankings.
According to QS, the 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject features 55 narrow subjects across five broad subject areas. This year's rankings are its biggest yet, with over 1,900 institutions included this year, including over 300 which appear for the first time ever.
